POETRY | Daniel Samba

Daniel Samba was born in Camerun.
He arrived in Italy 6 years ago and soon got fascinated by the Friulian language.
He now speaks Friulian better than many locals, and thinks that being fluent the language of the community is the best tool for interaction.
He loves to discover new Friulian proverbs because - he says - they allow him to go deep into the heart of Friulian culture. With his passion for Friulian and his ironic style, Daniel has become popular in the cultural scene of Udine.
He is one of the DJs of Radio Onde Furlane (90.00 MHZ), the first community radio of Friuli, which broadcasts in Friulian only.
His cult programme Friul Piturat di Neri [Friuli painted in black] is one of the hottest programme on the air.
Currently he is a graduate student at the Faculty of Public Relations of the University of Udine
