POETRY | Tahar Lamri
Tahar Lamri was born in Algeri in 1958. He has lived
in Libya and France before arriving in Italy in 1986.
He is currently living in Ravenna (Italy). Storyteller, poet and writer, Lamri has served as panellist in several festivals, seminars, conferences and workshops on migration literature. From 2005 he is working at the European Project And The City Spoke, together with writers and actors from different European cities. His works have been published in poetry journals such as Sagarana and El Ghibli and in 1995 he was the winner
of the literary prize for migrant writers Eks&Tra, with the short story “Solo allora sono certo potrò capire”. In 1999 this short story was translated into english and selected
in the anthology Mediterranean Crossroads (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press).
His show “Il pellegrinaggio della voce”
[The Voice's Pilgrimage] was presented in 2001
at the Eirene festival in Santarcangelo di Romagna.
