Speech by Manuel Martin, counsellor and experimental trainer in the field of personal empowerment, during a seminar on the “creative” and “dialogical” word partnership. The intervention will be aimed at proposing a path of activation using the symbolic wisdom of tarot cards. The event will be held on 10 October at 2 p.m. in the Aula master Zolli at Palazzo Antonini.

Meeting with singer, poet and artist SYBELL (Cristina Spadotto) entitled Il canto della Terra. The artist will perform original songs and tributes to national and international artists. The event will take place in the ‘Ragazzi del Brunetta’ Park at Palazzo Antonini on 27 September at 5.30 p.m.

The project “Voices and Songs from the Edge of the World” includes three main events and three collateral events on the role of poetry and the voice(s) of “care” and partnership nowadays, with particular regard to the artistic expressions of the Other, and the safeguard of nature, the environment and natural landscapes.

The project is funded by “Comune di Udine” and the Department of Languages and Literatures, Communication, Education and Society of the University of Udine. It is organised by ALL Association and the Partnership Studies Group.

Concert entitled Song of the Remote Islands, presented by Francesco Benozzo and Fabio Bonvicini, as part of the event cycle Parole canti danze – Incontri di poesia e bellezza. The concert will be introduced by Prof. Riem and will be followed by a performance by the Val  Resia folk group. The event will be held on Sunday, May 12, at 5 p.m. at the “Rozajanska Kultürska Hïša” Cultural Center in Prato di Resia (UD). Free admission.

PRIN 2024 SEMINAR: Bodies, Ecology and Moving Identities: towards a Partnership Paradigm, University of Udine

The main objective of the conference is to create a transcultural dialogue between different peoples and identities through English literatures, ecocriticism, ecolinguistics, ecological discourse, education and language teaching. The conference is organised by the Department of Languages and Literature, Communication, Education and Society of the University of Udine and it is open to everyone. It focuses on the research project of relevant national interest (PRIN) Bodies, Ecology and Moving Identities: towards a Partnership Paradigm coordinated by the University of Udine, Principal Investigator: Professor Antonella Riem. The project studies the representational identity of peoples migrating across geographical, cultural, linguistic and political boundaries through the perspective of relations between bodies, ecology and powers of narratives and counter-narratives in local and global identities.

Lecture/concert entitled “Come la poesia e l’arte possono salvare il mondo”, during which Francesco Benozzo, philologist, poet, harpist and Nobel Prize nominee for Literature will share with the students his poetics and reflections on the role of poetry in the contemporary world, in dialogue with the choir of the Liceo delle Scienze Umane, coordinated by Prof. Marco Luciano. The event, coordinated by Professor Antonella Riem, will be attended by Councillor Chiara Gatta and will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Aula magna of the Slataper High Schools in Gorizia. Free admission.

Event entitled “Attivismo per i diritti umani: il premio Nobel per la Pace a Narges Mohammadi; il premio Sakharov a Mahsa Amini e al movimento Donna, vita, libertà!. On this occasion, Dr. Taher Djafarizad of the Nedaday Association will bring to our attention the Iranian activist movement for human rights, which has received extraordinary awards this year. The event is organized by Professor Maria Bortoluzzi, in collaboration with ALL and the tatiana fund Association. At the end of Dr. Taher Djafarizad’s presentation, there will be space for a discussion. The appointment is for Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in Room 5 of Palazzo Antonini (Udine). All are welcome to attend.

Series of events entitled “Parole canti danze. Incontri di poesia e bellezza”, supported by the Municipality of Udine and the University of Udine. The events will be part of the UdinEstate 2023 program. The initivative includes six events, three of which will feature the participation of professor, philologist and artist Francesco Benozzo. Event entitled “Parole, canti, danze: incontri di poesia e bellezza”, sixth and last appointment in the cycle of events of the same name, included in the program of UdinEstate 2023.  Francesco Benozzo, philologist, poet, harpist and Nobel Prize nominee for Literature will present his new book entitled Leggende di ghiacciai in an unprecedented performance, to the sound of the Celtic harp. In dialogue with the author will be Prof. Antonella Riem. The event will take place Wednesday, October 11, at 6 p.m., at the Biblioteca Joppi in Udine. Free admission.

Event entitled “Parole, canti, danze: incontri di poesia e bellezza”, fifth appointment in the cycle of events of the same name, included in the program of UdinEstate 2023.  Francesco Benozzo, philologist, poet, harpist and Nobel Prize nominee for Literature will sing some of his epic poems from the volume SCIAMANICA. Poemi dai confini dei mondi / Poems from the Borders of the Worlds, to the sound of his harp. The event will be enriched by a dialogue between Francesco Benozzo, Maurizio Benedetti, a Friulian word artist and poet, and Prof. Antonella Riem and will be held on Thursday, September 28, at 5:30 p.m., at the park of Palazzo Antonini, in Udine. Free admission.

Event entitled “Etnografia delle Madonne del Latte a Udine e in Friuli”, third appointment in the cycle of events“Parole canti danze. Incontri di poesia e bellezza”, included in the program of UdinEstate 2023. The first part of the event was held by Erika Di Bortolo Mel, a doctoral student in anthropology and an expert on the traditions of Friuli, particularly the Madonne del Latte, and took take place at Madonna delle Grazie in Udine at 5 p.m. Afterwards, the second part of the event was held at the artistic coworking space Niduh (via Bezzecca, 73), which organized a creative workshop. Free admission.

Event entitled “Parole, canti, danze: incontri di poesia e bellezza”, part of the cycle of events of the same name, included in the program of UdinEstate 2023Francesco Benozzo, philologist, poet, harpist and Nobel Prize nominee for Literature gave a lecture/concert to the sound of his harps. The event was introduced by Professor Riem and enriched by the performance of dancers from the Val Resia folk group. The event was held on Thursday, July 6, at 6:30 p.m., at the Court of Palazzo Morpurgo in Udine. Free admission.

Reading workshop entitled “Raccontare e raccontarsi tra parole e figure”, presented by Irene Greco and organized with the contribution of the University of Udine and ALL. The event is part of the UdinEstate 2023 initiative of the City of Udine. The workshop, open to children aged 4 to 10, will take place at the Libreria Friuli in Udine on Friday, June 9 at 4:30 pm.

Event titled “Tales: Raccontare la natura attraverso gli albi in inglese”, which will open the series of events “Parole canti danze. Incontri di poesia e bellezza” included in the program of UdinEstate 2023. The meeting, held by Elisa Bertoldi, storyteller and multilingual children’s storytelling specialist, is open to children aged 6 to 9. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 7, at 4:30 p.m. at the Civic Library “V. Joppi”-children’s section of Udine.

Art event entitled “Turner. Linguaggi dell’arte contemporanea in dialogo”, which merged literature, dance and visual arts. The event provided the opportunity for the screening in full of the art video “Turner” and the presentation of Mattia Mantellato’s research project, focusing on the literatures of the sea, and was enriched by a contemporary dance performance inspired by the video, as well as the intervention of the guests listed in the poster. The event took place on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the former Convento di San Francesco in Pordenone. Free entry.

7 – 11 March 2023

Exhibition dedicated to the canvases of the Amazonian Shaman Francisco Montes, supported by ALL and promoted by the Master in Partnership Studies and native traditions (MaPS) and the Partnership Studies Group (PSG) of the University of Udine, in collaboration with ‘Where the Eagles Fly’. The exhibition will be held in Palazzo Antonini (Udine, via Petracco 8) from the 7th to the 11th of March 2023. The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on the 6th of March at 17.30 (5.30 pm), while on the 10th of March at 17.30 (5.30 pm), AULA/ROOM 1 will host an event with Francisco Montes singing his Sacred Icaros and Francesco Benozzo playing his Bardic and Celtic harps. Free entrance to all the events.

The event was also attended by Paolo Bertinetti and Paolo Galloni. The book’s editor performed some of the songs on the bardic harp.

Event Esperienza Zero presented by the Master in Partnership Studies and Native Translations and the Master in Meditation and Neuroscience at the University of Udine, with the participation of Satyaprem.
The event was held over two days on the Microsoft Teams platform.
